It seems that family is that one thing that teenagers take for granted. When I was sick I was babied by my mom and felt like a…a…princess. When I started to feel better and realized how much time had passed it dawned on me, “I only have two years left of high school and then I’m leaving for college.” I am determined not to attend college here which would mean, my mom will not be there to baby me. I will be on my own.
It’s moments like this where I realize how lucky I am and how blessed I am to have parents that love me and that care about me. I know that I will not always be here with them and it is better to appreciate them now than to realize too late.
